Cooperatives

Cooperatives are key partners in advancing agricultural development and community empowerment in Puntland. They bring together farmers, producers, and traders to work collectively toward shared goals such as improved productivity, better market access, and sustainable resource management.

The Ministry of Agriculture & Irrigation oversees the registration, regulation, and capacity building of cooperatives across the region. Through these efforts, the Ministry ensures that cooperatives operate transparently, strengthen rural livelihoods, and contribute to food security and economic growth.
